Tour Description:
Enjoy a tour full of adventure and adrenaline in which you will visit Lima and its colonial legacy, paraglide along the coast, visit the city of Cuzco and its numerous vestiges, river rafting in the Sacred Valley, Inca Trail where you will find its archaeological sites and beautiful landscapes, ending the adventure at the Machu Picchu citadel.

Itinerary

Day 1: ... / Lima


Reception and transfer from Airport to the Hotel.
Overnight at your hotel in Lima.

 

Day 2: Lima


Guided tour around Lima and the Historical Center, with typical traits of the Colonial times, such as the Government Palace, the Main Square, located in the heart of the city, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the San Francisco Convent, a fascinating display of colonial art, considered World Cultural Heritage. Your visit will continue around the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, entertainment and tourist centers, ending your tour at Larcomar where you will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.
You'll take a Tandem flight over the Costa Verde; the flight lasts between 10 and 15 minutes and you'll go with an experienced instructor. It is the easiest and safest way to feel the thrill of soaring.

Day 3: Lima / Cusco


Reception and transfer from Hotel to the Airport.

Transfer from the airport to the hotel in Cusco.
Tour around the magical city of Cuzco, visiting the historic Main Square and the Cathedral, both of colonial style, as well as the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, ancient adoration Inca centre for the Sun God. The tour will continue with a visit to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, built entirely of perfectly fitted carved stones and where the Inti Raymi celebration takes place every year. You will also visit ancient Inca centers such as Kenko, labyrinth in Quechua, where several ceremonies and rituals took place; Puca Pucara, with vigilance spots or "tambos" along the Inca Trail; and Tambomachay, also know as the Inca Baths, the Inca tribute to the liquid element or Unu.

Day 4: Cusco / Sacred Valley


You'll be picked up from your hotel to the Sacred Valley, riverside the Urubamba river to start the introductory chat about safety and equipment to be used. You will enjoy the river rafting for around two and a half hours in rapids of the class -II, III, IV or V- and route you selected (depending on the season). Lunch on site and then you will be taken back to your hotel. - If you already know how to raft and would like a different experience, we also offer programs of 2 and 3 days at faster rapids.

Day 5: Cusco / Sacred Valley


Tour to the Sacred Valley Visit the colorful handicraft market of Pisac. Lunch at a local restaurant. Finally, visit Ollantaytambo, Inca fortress built to watch the entrance to the valley.

Day 6: Inca Trail


Around 5:30 am you will be picked up from your hotel to start the journey by bus towards 82 km. After checking in the controls you will start the 6 hour hike at the edges of Urubamba River, to Llactapata archaeological site, where you will take lunch. The entire hike will last around 6 hours (13 kilometers or 8 miles) until the Huayllabamba camp.

Day 7: Inca Trail


The greatest challenge: 11 kilometers (6.84 miles) of ascension to walk through the two highest passages, including Warmiwañusca, at 4,200 m.s.n.m (13,780 ft.). This is the highest point of the whole hike, (approximately are 8 hours of walking) you will enjoy impressive landscapes of hills and peaks and the beautiful half tropical valley. The hike includes the visit to Runkurakay and Sayacmarca archaeological sites. Camp at Pacaymayu.

Day 8: Inca Trail


This is a calmer day; you will walk 8 hours approximately (only 10 kilometers / 6 miles) and most of the route is plane and full of slopes. You will have the chance to observe how the geography starts to change, from mountainous and dry, to green and half tropical. In the way visit to Phuyupatamarca and Intipata to arrive, finally to Wiñaywayna where the last camp of the trek will be install.

Day 9: Inca Trail


After breakfast, very early departure towards Inti Punku (Sun Gate), the entrance of the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, from here you will walk down along valleys, approximately are 2 hours of walking to enjoy to a guided visit of this magical place.

Day 10: Machu Picchu / Cusco


Second visit to Machu Picchu, where you'll have the free morning to visit the ruins or to climb up the Huayna Picchu peak, the great mountain behind the citadel. The guide is not included in this excursion.
Back to the Aguas Calientes train station at the appropriate time to take the train back to Cuzco.

Day 11: Cusco / Lima


Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
