Tour Description:
On this tour you will be able to visit the mysterious Nazca Lines, combining it with the culture and nature found in Arequipa, its volcanes and valleys. You will also enjoy a lovely visit to Titicaca Lake and enigmas that surround the grand Machu Picchu.

Day 1: ... / Lima


Reception and transfer from Airport to the Hotel.
Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 2: Lima


Guided tour around Lima and the Historical Center, with typical traits of the Colonial times, such as the Government Palace, the Main Square, located in the heart of the city, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the San Francisco Convent, a fscinating dissplay of colonial art, considered World Cultural Heritage. Your visit will continue around the residential distrcits of San Isidro and Miraflores, entertainment and touristics centres, ending your tour at Larcomar where you will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.

Day 3: Lima / Ica


Transfer to the Bus Station.
Bus ride in Cruz del Sur to Ica.
Visit the city of Ica, including the Regional Museum and the Huacachina Lagoon, surrounded by the Ica dessert's dunes, where you will find Huarango and palm trees. The tour will continue to the Luren Church, home of the "Black Christ". Finally, you will tour around the traditional or industrial winery where you will learn about the wine and pisco production.

Day 4: Ica / Nazca / Ica


Air ticket from Aerocondor airline to overflight the Nazca Lines departing from Ica. You will take a light aircraft to flight over the Mysterious Nazca Lines which can only be seen from the air, the giant geometrical and animal figures were drawn on the desert sands by the Nazca people 1,500 years ago and their purpose is still a mystery.

Day 5: Ica / Paracas / Lima


You will be taken to Paracas to take a comfortable boat ride to the Ballestas Islands, where you will enjoy "El Candelabro", and be able to watch in their natural habitat the diverse sea fauna of the islands, such as sea lions, seagulls, pelicans and Humboldt penguins.
Transfer from the hotel to the bus station.
Bus ride to Lima.
Transfer from de Bus Station to the Hotel.

Day 6: Lima / Arequipa


Reception and transfer from Hotel to the Airport.
Airline ticket from Lima to Arequipa Upon your arrival, reception and transfer to the selected hotel.
Tour around the Main Square, Cathedral, Church and Cloisters of Jesus Company, Santa Catalina convent, Yanahuara Church and Viewer. (This tour is in the morning or in the afternoon during 3 hours and a half)

Day 7: Arequipa / Colca Valley


Departure towards Colca Valley. On the way you will cross the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve. Continue to "Mirador de los andes" a strategic point to see the great amount of volcanoes. Arrival at Chivay town and transfer to the selected accommodation. After lunch, visit "La Calera" hotsprings where you can take a relaxing bath here. After dinner, overnight in selected hotel.

Day 8: Colca Valley / Arequipa


After breakfast, you will start the journey through the main towns of the valley stopping at Yanque. Then departure towards "El Mirador de la Cruz", the best spot to observe the deepness of the canyon (11,155 ft), before arrival to "Cruz del Condor" passangers can choose for a short walk (45 min.) along a path at the edge of the canyon. Arrival. This is the place from where almost always is possible to see the majestic fly of the condors. On the way back visit some very interesting typical towns, pre inca hanging tombs, terraces. Arrival at Chivay and lunch. At appropriate time ride back to Arequipa and transfer to selected hotel.

Day 9: Arequipa / Puno


At appropriate time, transfer to the airport.
Airline tickect from Arequipa to Puno On your way to the hotel, visit around 45 minuts the famous Chullpas of Sillustani, 12 m/40ft high stone cylinder burial chambers, used by the Aymaras to bury their important leaders. Afterwards you will arrive at the selected hotel.

Day 10: Puno


Motor boat excursion to Uros floating Islands. Its inhabitants have built their own "islands" by periodically adding new layers of a type of reed unique to the area called "totora". Then the trip continues towards Taquile island, where you will start a hike to the town to visit the Handicraft Center to buy a great variety of fine coloured hand made weaves. At proper time transfer to Puno. Upon arrival transfer to selected hotel.

Day 11: Puno / Cusco


Transfer from Hotel to the bus station.
Departure for an eight hours trip towards Cusco, the bus will stop in some interesting places to visit such as Raqchy Temple and some old Inca constructions. Marvellous scenery of landscape and typical animals like the "llama", "alpaca" will join you through this journey.

Day 12: Cusco


Tour around the magical city of Cusco, visiting the historic Main Square and the Cathedral, both of colonial style, as well as the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, ancient adoration Inca centre for the Sun God. The tour will continue with a visit to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, built entirely of perfectly fitted carved stones and where the Inti Raymi celebration takes place every year. You will also visit ancient Inca centres such as Kenko, labyrinth in Quechua, where several ceremonies and rituals took place; Puca Pucara, with vigilance spots or "tambos" along the Inca Trail; and Tambomachay, also know as the Inca Baths, the Inca tribute to the liquid element or Unu. The tour comes to its end at the Misminay native community, where you can enjoy of their handicrafts exhibit.

Day 13: Cusco / Valle Sagrado


Tour to the Sacred Valley Visit the colorful handicraft market of Pisac, famous for its Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday fairs. Lunch at a local restaurant. Finally, visit Ollantaytambo, Inca fortress built to watch the entrance to the valley.

Day 14: Valle Sagrado / Machu Picchu


Transfer from your hotel to the train station.
Train ride in superior class, Vistadome, to the Machu Picchu ruins. You'll be taken by bus from the Aguas Calientes train station to the top of the mountain where you can find the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. After the two hour guided tour, lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 15: Machu Picchu / Cusco


Free morning to visit the Machu Picchu ruins or to go up the Huayna Picchu peak, the great mountain behind the citadel. The guide is not included in this excursion.
Back to the Aguas Calientes train station at the appropriate time to take the train back to Cusco.
Transfer from the train station to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 16: Cusco / Lima


Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
Airline ticket from Cusco to Lima
Reception and transfer from Airport to the Hotel.
